I Am New –

“This is the mystery of the riches of divine grace for sinners, for by a wonderful exchange our sins are now not ours but Christ’s, and Christ’s righteousness is not Christ’s, but ours.” -Martin Luther

How amazing is this grace, to give us a new identity! We are no longer labeled as fallen sinners, but as righteous children of a holy God. And all this by the goodness and love of our Savior, in taking our sins upon Himself and bearing the punishment that we rightly deserved so that we might become a new creation in Him.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” –2 Corinthians 5:17

I love this verse. It’s great that we are new creations in Christ!!! We don’t have to sin anymore. We have a new mind, a new identity, we are all new people. We are not under obligation to sin, the Holy Spirit is working within us. He’s guiding us and teaching us. And we’ve been shown the greatest mercy of all, I’m still learning that when Christ has forgiven our sin and paid the debt, I don’t have to secure my salvation. It’s the Holy Spirit who is doing it and Christ holds us in his hand. It’s just like unbelievable for me that God has forgiven me. I don’t have to feel unsecure anymore, I’m his child now, and a completely new creation, with a desire to serve Christ,

Thanks for this reminder, I’m just learning the things you wrote about!! Great timing 🙂

    • Amen! I’m so glad that you know this truth! 🙂 I’m also glad to be able to encourage you through what God has been teaching me. Not only that, but with such great timing, which is a thing only God can arrange. 🙂 Thanks so much for reading, Ania! Have a blessed day!
